DTU Space to develop virtual space tour for youngsters

Astronomical research centre in place in Copenhagen

The new basic research centre DAWN is now officially open. The centre is a collaboration between the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) and DTU.

DTU and Niels Bohr Institute opens Cosmic Dawn Center

The Cosmic Dawn Center (DAWN), a new basic research center of excellence that is to study and expand our knowledge of the very early universe, has now been established in Copenhagen in cooperation between DTU Space and the Niels Bohr Institute.

The ASIM-observatory has been launched for the International Space Station, ISS, 2 April 2018. ASIM will observe gigantic lightning and Gamma-ray flashes powered by thunderstorms.

Unique Danish satellite in orbit around the Arctic

A new Danish satellite has been launched into space to test the monitoring of ships and aircraft in the Arctic region. This is a joint project between DTU, the Danish Ministry of Defence, and the company Gomspace.

European space science talents to compete in Denmark

DTU Space sends 27 talented young people to the Odysseus Space Contest at Maersk Mc-Kinney Moeller Science Centre i Soroe, Denmark. They compete for a ticket to the finals i Toulouse next month in the EU Horizon 2020-sponsored contest.
