Skjoldet awarded Student Startup of the Year 2025

Every year, the Student Startup of the Year award is announced at the DTU Commemoration. The award is given to a startup that originates from DTU and has shown great potential.

The Student Startup of the Year award goes to Skjoldet, which has developed a software programme that protects users from scam sites on the internet. Initially, the programme was used by their family and friends. Today, the programme protects 13,000 users from internet fraud. Bachelor student Natasha Hougaard (Artificial Intelligence and Data) and DTU graduate Magnus Stjernborg Koch (MSc Industrial Engineering and Management) are behind the startup.

Natasha Hougaard and Magnus Stjernborg Koch's mission with their startup is to make it safer and more secure for everyone to move around on the internet.

The award came with DKK 25,000 for further development of the product. The award was presented by Marianne Thellersen, Senior Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
