DTU Elektro will reduce the bass frequencies in neighbourhood zones without ruining the music experience at outdoor concerts.
Waves of thundering bass and pulsating rhythms are great for ticket holding concert guests, but leave the residents living in the surrounding areas irritated and stressed. The question is whether the neighbours should put up with these thudding sounds or whether the concert guests just have to accept lower sound levels. The MONICA group from the Acoustic Technology department at DTU Elektro have found a solution to this dilemma, allowing concert guests an ultimate experience yet not compromising the local residents ability to get a good nights sleep.
