We are looking for a talented student able to program apps for Andoid, and possibly for IOS!

Buildings are supposed to offer a pleasant indoor climate for occupants, and to reach it, make use of energy. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems maintain indoor temperature and humidity at comfortable values and take care of the right air exchange. Since buildings are not constantly occupied, and occupants might have different expectations about their thermal comfort, a personalised heating, ventilation and air conditioning of each single room could lead both to an increase of comfort, and to a decrease of the energy used by buildings. Knowing the exact position of users within a building, and knowing their wishes about the indoor climate, can provide a very important information for controlling the indoor environment in the right way.

About the job
Within this position, the candidate will develop further an existing android app, which has the following functionalities:

  • Trace occupants’ positions within buildings
  • Give occupants the possibilities to give feedbacks on the actual indoor climate

Moreover, the generated app will offer buildings’ administrators the possibility to install beacons (Bluetooth antennas, battery run) around a building in an optimal way (the beacons are required to let the app localize occupants within the buildings), and will have an API for exchange information about both localization of occupants and occupants’ preferences. 

In order to apply for this position you need to be enrolled as a BSc or MSc student at a Danish university.


Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the organization agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Prosa/State for IT employees in the state sector. The salary for the position will be determined by the number of ECTS you have passed.

Starting date is as soon as possible. This is a temporary position which will cease without further notice after two months. Weekly working hours are flexible and between 8 to 15.
