Smart manufacturing continues to be a focus area for Denmark to obtain flexible, agile, and sustainable products and production and is a key to new Danish production jobs.

DTU Compute contributes to smart manufacturing through the improvement of digital production technologies, for example based on additive manufacturing, the modelling of production processes and quality control, sensors, embedded IT, internet of things, improved production techniques - for example through MADE (Manufacturing Academy of Denmark) and DTU Imaging Center, including the LINX project (Linking Industry to Neutrons and X-rays).
